Bethany Platt’s days on the cobbles of Coronation Street are numbered – and it’s her romantic life wth Daniel Osbourne that will lead her to leave, says a top show boss. Fans of the long-running ITV soap have been offered an insight into the circumstance of Bethany’s departure as actress Lucy Fallon is due to quit the show in the new year. Viewers have watched Bethany fall for Daniel (played by Rob Mallard) in recent weeks on the soap – but her new lover’s grief for his lost wife Sinead Tinker looks set to derail the blossoming romance. For while Bethany has been offering solace for Dan, he is said to be struggling to deal with his grief after losing his wife to cancer.
