Google: Using The Meta Keywords Tag Won’t Cause A Search Penalty

We know that Google says you can spam and stuff the meta keywords tag all you want, it won't cause a penalty because Google simply ignore the meta keywords tag. Thus, it is pretty obvious that using the meta keywords tag with real keywords relevant to the page is also not going to cause any sort of penalty.But someone wanted to be sure that having a meta keywords tag on your page would not cause a Google penalty. Google Local “You Recently Viewed” Search Panel

Here is a personalized feature in Google search around passed searches you did for vacations or trips. Sergey Alakov posted a screen shot on Twitter of a carousel feature in search that shows "you recently viewed" these places in Google search and "only you can see this."It shows Sergey passed places he viewed in Google local. Google “View Previous Posts” To Highlight Old Google Posts

Google Can Process Canonical Tags In JavaScript

Google's John Mueller said in a video hangout that Google can technically process canonicals within JavaScript. This is assuming that what is shown in the JavaScript doesn't conflict with other signals. John confirmed this on Twitter when Patrick Stox summarized it.John said this at the 12:35 mark into the video when the question was presented:Question: I guess my question is implementing hreflang and then modifying a canonical tag using JavaScript.
