In Google’s latest SEO snippets Q&A video, John Mueller explains how site owners can submit a sitemap with more than 50,000 URLs.Sitemaps are limited to 50,000 URLs per file, so what’s a webmaster to do if they have a site that exceeds 50,000 pages?Mueller says multiple sitemap files can be created for a single website. Or, as Mueller puts it, a “sitemap file for sitemaps.”This even works for sitemaps with fewer than 50,000 URLs, as site owners may want to use multiple sitemaps for different sections of their site.Multiple sitemap files can also be submitted individually, whether or not they’re contained in a sitemap index file.As a best practice, Mueller recommends having your sitemaps automatically generated by your server. In December, Butterfinger was one of first brands to announce it would be airing a spot during this year’s Super Bowl game. Today, the company released a new teaser ad for its #BolderThanBold Super Bowl campaign, this time featuring comedian Billy Eichner. The 30-second “The Motocross Jump” spot has an absurdist comedy bent, with Eichner singing alongside a motocross biker while a voiceover details all that is “… bolder than bold.” The creative direction for the latest teaser ad is slightly different from that of the first #BolderThanBold spot featuring a skydiver eating a Butterfinger candy bar as he jumps from a plane. Butterfinger also featured Eichner in a video last week announcing the brand would cover up to $50,000 in fines for any “excessive celebrating” by an NFL player during the final three games of the pro season. Playing off of Eichner’s “Billy on the Street” Funny or Die show, the spot included “one … [Read more...] about Butterfinger Goes #BolderThanBold With Billy Eichner In New Super Bowl 50 Teaser Ad

On March 12, 2008, the name of Eliot Spitzer’s pay-for-performance paramour, Ashley Dupre was finally sniffed out by a New York Times reporter. Immediately, our Avvo profile page for Texas Attorney, Ashley Dupree Russel was inundated with traffic. The site was hit by millions and millions of people trying to find out anything about the women who could command $1,000 an hour trysts with the NY Governor. Note that the spellings are different: Dupre vs. Dupree and one is a middle name – yet the Avvo profile was Google’s best guess (for a little while at least) for what people were looking for. The traffic spike lasted for a few hours. I suspect the bounce rate finally may have tipped off the search engines that the users were looking for a different type of professional. Goldblum first started appearing in Apartments.com ads earlier last year, portraying a character named Brad Bellflower, a self-professed Silicon Valley maverick who is “…no stranger to game changers.” In addition to the pictures of Goldblum, the site released its first Super Bowl teaser ad yesterday, starring Lil Wayne. The 15-second “The Arrival #MovinOnUp” spot features George Washington being buzzed up by the rapper with the hashtag #MovinOnUp — but no Goldblum. Adweek reports Apartments.com’s Super Bowl campaign will include promoted tweets, BuzzFeed apartment-related listicles and influencers like YouTube creator Kurt Schneider helping push the #MovinOnUp hashtag, with the the official 60-second spot scheduled to run during the second commercial break of the game. Apartments.com turned to Santa Monica-based agency Rubin Postaer and Associates (RPA) to create this year’s Super Bowl campaign. The brand says, based on the success of … [Read more...] about Apartments.com Launches Its Super Bowl 50 Campaign With Lil Wayne & George Washington
