Google Search Won’t Return Search Results For Some Searchers
Hello everyone. I work for the search team at Google. We are looking into this, to understand better and get it resolved, soon. It's been helpful those who have shared specifics about what seems to trigger it. The more details you can share, the better for us to track this down.It seems for some, clearing cookies, cache and signing in and out helps. For others, removing the web history features has helped. How To Localize Google Search Results
Open the Chrome browser. Press [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+I to open Developer Tools. Click “Console” and then the “Emulation” tab. If you do not see the Emulation tab while in the Console, press the [ESC] key and it will appear. Within the Emulation tab’s navigation, choose “Sensors.” Check the box next to “Emulate geolocation coordinates.” Open a new tab with a utility like http://www.latlong.net/ to look up the precise latitude and longitude for a locality. Copy and paste the latitude and longitude over to the “Emulate geolocation coordinates” input boxes. Google Search + Deep Linking
NOTE: Google’s documentation seems to indicate that Activities are only used for private indexing, but Google may also use them as a measurement of engagement for more global evaluations of an app (as Apple does with NSUserActivities in Apple Search). Google has not highlighted their private indexing feature as vocally as Apple, and a user’s private index can be accessed from the Phone icon in the bottom navigation of the Google Now app on Android and iOS. Like I said before, it’s more about the layout than the actual design. A company with a simple design would be rated just as well as a big company with a professional design as long as the information is clear and presented in a way that is easy to understand. To give you an example, a page where you can tell what the main content is with ads taking second page in the design would get a high rating.
