The other week we posted about a bug with Google Ad Grants advertisers not being able to accept the terms and conditions. This has been going on for weeks and finally Google posted a possible solution or workaround for the bug. If you want to sign up and use the Google Ad Grants, you might run into a stumbling block. Accepting the terms and conditions has not worked for a couple of weeks. Google has been trying to fix the issue but they are having a problem finding the source of the problem.Here is a screen shot of the terms and conditions acceptance page:When you try to accept the terms you get a message that reads "You do not have permission to accept these terms and conditions." The 'Submit' button is disabled and does not work.Ammar from Google just updated the thread two days ago with not such great news. Michelle from the Google Ad Grants team confirmed in a Google Ads Help thread that Google has recently deactivated a nice number of Google Ad Grant accounts before the big charity season because of compliance issues. There is now a backlog for Google to review and Google is asking these non-profits to use the reactivation form.Over the past couple of weeks there has been a nice number of complaints about Google Ad Grants accounts being deactivated. Google explained this is because of compliance issues that Google is trying to get on top of before the big holiday season. Over the past few months or so, Google has been working with a dozen or so advertising agencies that focus most of their work with non-profit companies and the Google Grants program. This program gives some non-profits free advertising budgets on the Google AdWords platform to reach more contributors to their organization.Google gives some of these organizations $10,000 USD of in-kind advertising every month. As you'd imagine, there are specific agencies that focus just on ensuring non-profits are eligible and remain eligible for the program based on the AdWords performance.
