Google's John Mueller said it is okay to add your test or development site to Google Search Console, even if it is noindexed and disallowed by search engines. There are still some useful tools you can run on your site before you launch it that may help you.This was a question posed to John on Twitter where he said there is no problem in doing that. Of course, I suspect a lot of the functionality in Google Search Console will not properly work if Google cannot crawl and index the site. Last night, Google sent out notifications via Google Search Console reminding sites that have added Google+ buttons and other integrations to remove them by March 7th. As you know, Google is killing off Google+, the consumer version, in the next couple of months and Google wants all those Google+ buttons off the web beforehand.The email says :Google has announced that Google+ for consumers will be sunset. As part of the sunset, all Google+ web integrations will stop serving on March 7, 2019. This has the potential to affect website layouts and/or functionality if no action is taken by website owners." Google has posted a survey asking SEOs, webmasters, developers, etc to let Google know which Search Console API features they want that is currently not available. Mariya Moeva posted the survey on Twitter and wrote "site owners, SEOs, and developers!
