It looks like Google has killed off the Sitelinks searchbox that launched in 2014 and has been shown for many sites in the mobile and desktop search results. The sitelinks search box showed a search box in the search results snippet for some sites that lets you search within the site, like a site command but in the Google search results.RankRanger's data shows the box has been completely removed from all of the Google results. I tested it by searching for terms like YouTube, Wikipedia, Pinterest and others, where you'd typically find the box but it is not showing up for me either. The developer documents still say the feature exists, which makes me wonder if this is a bug. Maybe Google pulled the feature or maybe it is a bug, I emailed Google for clarity. Here is what it looked like:Here is what I get now:Forum discussion at Twitter.Update: Yup, as expected, this is a bug Google is working on fixing. … [Read more...] about Google Drops Sitelinks Search Box

Last November, Google started showing live wait times at some venues and locations. But that may have slowly gone away. Nicholas McDonough posted on Twitter that Google has removed them.I've been trying to trigger a live wait time to show up since that tweet but I have had no luck. The interesting thing is that the Google help docs still says there is such a thing as live wait times. It reads "Live visit data: Shows how active your location is right now. Live visit data is updated in real time and overlaid on the popular times graph. For example, in the image below, the highlighted section of the graph represents how active the location is right now compared to its usual level of activity."Do you still see it? If not, I wonder if it was removed due to the new privacy regulations coming soon related to GDPR and the Facebook mess?Forum discussion at Twitter.Update: This feature is still live:I see it for the query Harrods London pic.twitter.com/OjRCQ4sTaS— Mordy Oberstein … [Read more...] about Is Google Dropping Live Wait Times In Local Panel?

Any idea when it changed?— Martin Briggs (@martin_briggs) May 24, 2018 Then this weekend, some are saying the reviews are gone completely:I’m now seeing the anonymous reviews actually removed from GMB as well.
