With less than two weeks to go before Super Bowl LI’s kickoff, brands are gearing up to take the field in hopes their campaigns will have a lasting effect that will help them reach their advertising goals throughout the rest of 2017. One of the first brands out of the gate was Intel, releasing its official 30-second Super Bowl spot on January 12. The ad, featuring NFL MVP Tom Brady, showcases Intel’s 360-degree replay technology — the same technology Fox will be using when it airs the game. Since Intel released its ad, a number of other brands have launched either teaser ads or dropped their Official Super Bowl spots. After a slow start to this year’s Super Bowl ad season, more brands are releasing either teaser ads or sharing their official Super Bowl LI spot in anticipation of the big game. Last week, Intel released its official 30-second Super Bowl ad, “Everyday Brady,” starring NFL MVP Tom Brady. Kia released two teaser ads last Thursday and posted a third teaser ad today — all starring actress Melissa McCarthy. Wix also launched its campaign last week with a teaser ad starring actors Jason Statham and Gal Gadot. Now, Hyundai, Turbo Tax, Lexus, Avocados from Mexico and Mr. Clean have joined the lineup of brands releasing either teaser ads or their official game-day spots. Tebow’s legend has grown this season thanks to his leading the team on several miraculous late-game comebacks, coupled with the quarterback’s penchant to kneel down and openly pray on the sidelines during games.
