Super Bowl LI teaser ads a no show so far this year with brands keeping campaigns under wraps

As of Sunday, we’ll be three weeks out from Super Bowl LI. By this time last year, three brands had already released teaser ads for their Super Bowl campaigns, and three more had shared creative. This year is a different story with the lineup of Super Bowl brands remaining surprisingly quiet. So far, we’ve only seen creative from Intel, which released a 30-second spot starring NFL MVP Tom Brady scheduled to air during the February 5th Super Bowl broadcast. For Super Bowl 50, Butterfinger and Wix both released teaser videos in December of 2015, more than a month before the game. By the second week of January, Turbo Tax had also released teaser ads. Be sure to check back often, as more brands continue to launch Super Bowl spots the closer we get to game day. … [Read more...] about Here are the brands gearing up for game day

Hyundai, Turbo Tax, Lexus, Avocados from Mexico & Mr. Clean

After a slow start to this year’s Super Bowl ad season, more brands are releasing either teaser ads or sharing their official Super Bowl LI spot in anticipation of the big game. Last week, Intel released its official 30-second Super Bowl ad, “Everyday Brady,” starring NFL MVP Tom Brady. Kia released two teaser ads last Thursday and posted a third teaser ad today — all starring actress Melissa McCarthy. Wix also launched its campaign last week with a teaser ad starring actors Jason Statham and Gal Gadot. Now, Hyundai, Turbo Tax, Lexus, Avocados from Mexico and Mr. Clean have joined the lineup of brands releasing either teaser ads or their official game-day spots. Here’s a quick rundown of what each of the advertisers are bringing to the game, along with the ads they dropped. Hyundai Hyundai has recruited actor and director Peter Berg to shoot a 90-second video, which the brand is billing as a “documentary in real time” that will air during the … [Read more...] about Hyundai, Turbo Tax, Lexus, Avocados from Mexico & Mr. Clean
