By now the majority of searchers on Google are familiar with the Knowledge Graph box, which appears on the right side of the search results page and highlights information about various entities (companies, people, places, things and so on). You cannot be a president in the Google era without getting multiple Googlebombs throughout your service. This time, it is Trump who got Googlebombed again, for the search term [idiot] in Google Image search. Try it, you search for [idiot] and most of the photos you get are images of Donald Trump.The problem, as explained by Chris Sherman was first a big issue in the George Bush era in December 2003 when you Googled [miserable failure] you would get the bio on the whitehouse.gov site of George Bush, the president at that time:Google fixed Googlebombs, or they thought, in 2007. About ten days ago, Google was Googlebombed in image search for for the term [idiot] where it would photos of Donald Trump, the current President of the United States. I've been meaning to report that 5 or so days later, that Googlebomb dampened. President Donald Trump said on Twitter yesterday that the search results for his name, specifically [Trump News], is "rigged" and this "very serious situation-will be addressed!" Google responded saying "Search is not used to set a political agenda and we don't bias our results toward any political ideology."Everyone is covering this story, as you'd imagine. In my experience, the best search engine optimization (SEO) in the world comes from small shops and freelance consultants. That statement (and the following article) is only my opinion, of course, but it’s an opinion based on about 14 years working in this industry. Let’s get real: any agency (large or small) is primarily in business for themselves, not their clients. Their success is (naturally) built upon the success of their clients, but their clients are not their first priority. They can’t be, because agencies care about their clients only to the extent they impact or influence the interests of their own business model. This can be fine, really, and is even expected.
